Years ago, I was wearing that frock and someone asked me if I was wearing ‘national costume’. Hell knows which country would choose this kind of cacophony to represent their nation, but if they want me as their chief designer, I’m in.
Oh, and I guess I need to end this with some type of ‘lesson learned’ from ‘Buy Nothing New Month’. Well, I learned that we have a lot of clothes, an excessive, ridiculous amount. I knew that. I also learned that it is very difficult to photograph your family EVERY DAMN DAY!
IT SUCKS!
Especially when you have hay fever half the month! My eyes are killing me!
And, we’re away on holidays for the last five days this month, so all this has had to be posted IN ADVANCE!!!
The upshot is that I’ll be auctioning loads and loads of this stuff off on eBay in the next month and donating all moneys made to the Australian Heart Foundation. I am running for them in the 2012 New York Marathon. I’ll post here when stuff is up, so keep your eyes peeled!
Then, after the auctions, I’ll probably feel free with a little bit less. Oh, and buying myself some flat summer shoes, and some Salt Water Sandals for Saffy. She loves those things!
And here, on the blog, I might do a once a week post of what we’re wearing as it is a great way to record the kids growing up. I’m not sure which day yet.
Buy Nothing New Month, I bid you adieu!
